Geodesic Domes
A triangulated shell that stands on its own perimeter, giving you a round, column-free room with a ceiling that curves overhead instead of sitting flat.

The geometry is the point. Because a geodesic frame carries its load through the triangles of the shell, there is nothing holding the middle up, and the interior reads as one continuous curved surface. Draped, it becomes a soft ceiling that sweeps down to the floor on every side.
That shape does two things a rectangular structure cannot. It suits a room arranged in the round, where the audience faces inward rather than forward. And the continuous inner surface takes projection well, so the whole ceiling can become the content.
From the outside it reads as a landmark on an open site, which is why it tends to get used where arrival matters.
