German Hangers

The workhorse structure: a clear-span hall you can put on open ground, sized to the guest list rather than to whatever venue happens to be free.

A German hanger is a modular aluminium frame under a tensioned roof, spanning side to side with no internal supports. It extends in bays, so the same system covers an intimate hall or a convention floor depending on how many bays go up.

Because the span is clear, seating, staging and circulation are laid out to the event rather than around structural posts. The roof frame takes rigging, so lighting and sound hang from the structure.

This is the structure behind most large-format work we do on bare land. It is also the answer when a venue exists but is the wrong shape or the wrong size for the guest count.
