Floral Design & Installations
Flowers used as a building material rather than as a garnish: walls, arches, columns and suspended forms that hold their shape for a whole evening.
Large floral work is structural. A wall of blooms twelve feet high is a frame, a fixing method and a weight calculation before it is a colour choice, and the difference between an installation that looks immaculate at midnight and one that sags by nine is entirely in that unglamorous half.
We build the armature and dress it ourselves, which is why the shapes can be sculptural: a crescent that cantilevers over the seating, a lotus form, a column that wraps a palm. Those are not arrangements placed on a stand, they are objects that had to be engineered.
Colour is chosen against the lighting design, not under workshop light. The same pinks read completely differently under a warm wash and a magenta one, and that gets decided together.
